Past Week
Last week I participated in my craft store's scrapbook competition, and got so much support from my friends.. and their friends, and their friends friends. I'd like to thank each and everyone who liked the photo, really appreciate it. Though I don't think me and my girls are going to win it, I guess it's okay.
Been busy with school orientation for the past week and have never felt lethargic than ever, partly because most of the activities takes place under the incredibly scorching hot sun.
And here's a random picture of a cat I took of when I was roaming around Changi village.... Wish I could keep it.
and Finally had thosai for break fast last night! Been wanting to try it since forever.
And after Mahgrib tonight, It'd be the last 10 nights of Ramadhan. Not to mention Hari Raya is only next Sunday. It's scaring me.
National day's tomorrow, and I miss spending the time to catch the fireworks. The last time I watched the fireworks with the best view was in 2008, when I was participating in NDP. The fireworks was right above my head. All the other participants sat really still, quiet, and an arms length away from each other, all in a formation, heads all up to the sky.
Think that moment was magical.
But it's just fireworks. Wonder how it feels like when I get to see the Aura Borealis up in the North. I might just faint out of excitement.
Sigh, until that happens, I should learn to be grateful for what I have been given, and what I have.
Already midweek, 2 more days to the weekends!
Have a really blessed week, xo

Crafts Made Today // Mission (almost) Accomplished
Salam Friday!
Spent the whole morning until the late afternoon crafting.
How do i do it?
Step 1. I take out everything I have that has got to do with what I want to make.
Step 2. Stare at it.
Step 3. Stare at it longer....
Step 4. Randomly mixing things together.
Step 5. Take time to feel the craft.
Step 6. This doesn't make sense at all.
But anyway these are some of the things I made:
// Turquoise/Teal Journaling Cards Booklet
Here's how it looks like on the inside:
// Pastel Striped - 4 Shades, 40 pages of designed paper.
// Hard Cover with string and button
Here's how it looks like on the inside:
//Air Mail on Black book - Planning to re-do this one because it just... doesn't look right.
// Air Mail on kraft - 40 pages of designed paper
// Project Re-do : The voyage/The Take Off
And that's basically it.
And.....
I still have about 3/4 crafts on my mind.
Inspiration, you gotta stick with me now.

Crafts to be made //
Last week, the manager gave me the opportunity to sell my items at the store I'm working at. I couldn't thank God enough for the opportunity, was so elated with the news I decided to invest a little more on craft items. I hope everything will turn out the way I intend it to be, If God is willing.
Did a cover for the previous travel journal I did a few months ago, I think it looks way better now that it includes an envelope on the inside. So happy that it turned out the way I planned it out to be.
More pictures of it as soon as I finish all of the crafts!
Here are some of the things I bought earlier today, as mentioned in the earlier post! Inspired to do some crafts? I know I am!
Until Then!

On Foot Wednesday
Set out on a Wednesday alone to run errands for school & my etsy shop. Heading out alone never felt this calm. Maybe because I had Zee Avi on repeat for the whole day.
Bought myself a new 3-way bag for school since all the bags I have are totes. And an Adidas backpack that I owned 5 years back. Falling in love with how it looks over and over again...
Also printed out one of my posters as mentioned before and loving the outcome. My other posters will be up on Etsy real soon!
I spent my whole morning doing Kaitlin's vintage journal order. Alot of pasting and putting all the vintage papers together and sewing. Feeling so satisfied with the final product.
And did a little packaging with kraft paper, tags and free postcards I designed in the paper bag. Really hope she likes it!
Bought a whole lot of things for school this week. A new pencil case from Smiggle, an A4 kraft folder with refillable blank papers...
So if I get an idea i can just jot it down. Though I do not understand why I don't type it in my Iphone instead, I tried but the only thing that works was literally jotting it down.
Weird person is weird.
On the other note, the Holy month of Ramadhan is 2 days away! Going to make full use of the whole month, if God is willing.
Until then!

Etsy Shop Update
Finally listed up new crafts on my Etsy. Still feel/think as if my crafts are nothing compared to the random book stores I've been to. All i get inspired with is paper. paper good and vintage papers. envelopes, anything old. Have also been thinking about selling illustrated stickers, geometric designed journals/necklaces...
But then again experimenting requires alot of time and money.
I am this close | | to being broke.
Anyway do check them out in my Etsy store you guys! Until then!

A few days ago
Places I've been:
A few days ago I made a trip to Nex and stumbled upon Baskin Robbins. I shrieked the moment I saw the shop while I was still on the escalator..... I don't even know why I did that. Maybe because it's a colorful ice cream shop. And that I only thought there wasn't any Baskin Robbins in Singapore.
Spent a reasonable amount of money for this ice cream. And the ice cream is unlike those from Cold Stone/Cold Rock. Most of them hurt your throat real bad.
After which we made a trip to Prologue again. A friend of mine wanted to explore the place since it's consist of a quiet cafe with a whole storey dedicated to books and the other to stationery. It didn't turn out much of a place.... I think it's pretty boring.
Had Indonesian food for dinner! Finally. Though I really wanted to try Indian Food but I guess Indonesian food beats anything else any time. Miss the tea brewed there, miss the food made there. Miss everything about Indonesia.
Made a trip to Typo like I usually do and spent a good 10 bucks on two sets of wall frame stickers. SO pretty.
And it's up on my wall now! Polaroids on it up next.
Crafts I made :
I decided to make a sample of one my listing the other time and.... it turned out like this.
Am also experimenting on a new scrapbook journal to do.... or sell.
I have been thinking about travelling alot. and doing so much finance. I wouldn't even dare spend more than 20 on food and items all together. I was this close to spending about 30 bucks worth of Scrapbooking items.... but how can that be compared to travelling in the long run?
30 bucks can be part of my air plane ticket, or something I can eat outside of Singapore. Something I've never tasted before. Or maybe a picture taken with the marching band in London, or with Hagrid in a Harry potter's exhibition?
All of that thinking when I was at the counter. And alot of customers waiting in the line.
I spend most of my time day dreaming while working. If it was a book store with lesser people I think I'd probably be sitting down at the counter reading one.
Oh well. Until Then!

Last week of May // adventures i had
It's the 1st of June, Half of 2012 gone. And like everybody else today I woke up in the morning greeting the new month. Less than 2 months left till Ramadhan, I can hardly wait.
Moving along....
Had early dinner/late lunch earlier this week at pizzahut. A really spontaneous idea, especially when you're only on your one hour break while working. We just realized we didn't take a picture of the rest of the food because it..... was already eaten. And gone.
Did some paper cut crafting for my craft store.... but I don't think it's working out. Shall experiment on that one when I have the time...
Spent a total of 12 bucks with new scrapbook papers and random stickers. Privileges of working in a craft store, you can't help but spend on these. especially when you have immense love for papers. and look at those Llama stickers!!!! It's like horses. mixed with camels.
Also bought 2 books online from John Green and Sylvia Plath, Cant wait for the arrival for them both :-)
Until then!
